Homeowner FAQs

Clear answers before the work begins.

Explore costs, scheduling, insurance questions, materials and what to expect from your project.

Common questions

Cost & financing

What will my project cost?

Your price depends on the scope of work, property size and condition, material selections, current labor and material rates, and any hidden issues uncovered during the work. A retail project is priced around the work you approve. For an insurance project, your deductible, coverage, upgrades and any uncovered work affect what you pay out of pocket.

A written proposal gives you the clearest picture of the included work, price and how additional work would be handled.

Do you offer financing?

Yes. We offer financing options through Medallion Bank and Sunlight Financial. Approval, available amounts and loan terms depend on the lender’s qualification requirements and your application. Ask our team about the options for your project and review the full loan terms before accepting financing.

Do some colors cost more or take longer to arrive?

Yes. Some colors and finishes cost more, and special-order choices can add up to 21 days to the normal material lead time. The difference depends on the product and supplier. Confirm the price and expected arrival date for your exact selection before it is ordered; availability and delivery estimates can change.

Do you offer discounts?

We don’t offer discounts as a standard pricing policy. We may offer promotions from time to time. Any current promotion will explain its eligibility requirements, terms and expiration date.

Common questions

Scheduling & your project

How long will my project take?

The start date depends on weather, material availability and our current build queue. Once installation begins, most of our roof projects and most gutter projects can be completed in one day. Siding projects generally take 6–7 days, depending on the home’s size and the scope of work.

Those are typical installation estimates. Weather, access, hidden damage or a larger project can extend the schedule; material ordering and time in the queue are separate.

What happens if hidden damage is found?

Some conditions, such as deteriorated roof decking or wall sheathing, may only become visible after existing materials are removed. Additional work can affect the price and schedule. Review the additional-work provisions in your written agreement so you understand how changes are documented, priced and approved.

How should I prepare for installation?

Before the crew arrives, discuss access, vehicle parking, material delivery and debris-container placement with your project manager. Keep children and pets away from the work area, move portable outdoor items that could be in the way, and tell us about gates, landscaping or access concerns. Preparation needs vary by project.

Common questions

Insurance & repair decisions

When should I file an insurance claim?

Not every property issue calls for a claim. Our professional evaluation and report can help you understand the condition and repair scope. Review your policy and deductible, and promptly report suspected covered damage to your insurer. Don’t postpone required notice while waiting for an evaluation. Your insurer determines coverage.

Will I need a repair or a full replacement?

That depends on what the evaluation finds. The extent of the problem, the condition of the surrounding materials and the availability of compatible products all matter. We’ll discuss the repair or replacement scope for your property so you can understand the proposed work before deciding.

Common questions

Materials & care

Which roofing and siding products do you use?

We primarily use Atlas Pinnacle Pristine and Pinnacle Impact shingles, and can discuss other roofing options. Our siding choices include ProVia vinyl, Alside ASCEND composite cladding, LP SmartSide engineered wood siding and James Hardie fiber cement siding. The right selection depends on your design goals, project requirements and budget.

Can I paint or repaint my siding?

It depends on the product and finish. Review the exact manufacturer instructions and warranty before changing the color.

  • ProVia vinyl: the published warranty covers unpainted products only.
  • ASCEND composite: painted siding is excluded from warranty coverage unless the coating is manufacturer-authorized. Separate rules apply to cellular trim.
  • LP SmartSide ExpertFinish: repainting ends the factory-finish warranty. The siding substrate warranty remains subject to its terms.
  • James Hardie ColorPlus: the manufacturer provides repainting instructions, but does not cover the performance of third-party paints or coatings.

Both LP SmartSide and James Hardie offer primed siding intended for painting. We can discuss that option if a custom painted finish is part of your plan.

Are your gutters made to fit my home?

Yes. We bring our own gutter machine to your property and form 5-inch and 6-inch gutter runs on site using Mastic gutter coil. We plan the lengths, corners, outlets and downspouts around your home. You can also ask about ArmourGuard leaf protection.

Will the finished color look exactly like the website photo?

Photos and on-screen samples are a starting point. Lighting, screen settings, texture and surrounding materials can change how a color looks. Review a physical sample of the selected product and confirm its exact color name before ordering.

What warranties should I review?

Review the warranty for the exact product and finish you select, along with the workmanship terms in your written agreement. Manufacturer product coverage, factory-finish coverage and installation workmanship are different. Their conditions, exclusions, maintenance requirements and transfer rules can vary.

Common questions

Working with AYO
